Self-hosted Budget Tracker

Instead of paying $15 a month for You Need A Budget (YNAB) or other budgeting apps, I chose to deploy my own budgeting app using Firefly III in an AWS Lightsail instance.

Features a double-entry bookkeeping system. You can quickly enter and organize your transactions in multiple currencies.

Has advanced reporting capabilities, showing your expenses per week, month or year.

Use rules to quickly convert shorthands to detailed transactions or clean up your bank's abysmal CSV files.
