We Know a Guy is a brand built around human connection. It breaks away from traditional recruiting by focusing less on résumés and more on real people. The website reflects that same philosophy — playful, direct, and full of personality. Through a mix of storytelling, custom illustrations, and smart interactions, the experience feels more like a conversation than a pitch. It’s a site that doesn't just talk about people, it actually feels like them.

We replaced job board clichés with metaphors, motion, and unexpected humor. Each section guides users through a mindset shift, inviting them to stop reading résumés and start connecting with real people.

The brand identity was designed to be warm, honest, and a little playful. We created a custom illustration system using GPT's image capabilities, building a diverse cast of hand-drawn avatars that actually feel like people. Combined with a color palette that blends approachability with energy, the visual language mirrors the experience of talking to someone who just gets it.

Framer gave us the flexibility to bring this narrative to life. Subtle scroll animations, floating avatars, layered transitions, and playful CTAs all came together in a layout that invites interaction. This was our first time designing a site where the story shaped the structure, and that shift completely changed how we approached every design decision.
