Skedda Project: Unveiling the Dynamics of Hybrid Work

As a video editor with a keen eye for storytelling, I had the pleasure of collaborating with Skedda, the trailblazers in venue management software. My project involved creating a series of 13 compelling short videos, skillfully extracted from the rich narratives of Skedda’s “Heroes of Hybrid Work” podcast. These videos were not just mere clips; they were curated stories that highlighted the evolving landscape of hybrid work environments.

Each video was a challenge of distillation, where I had to sift through extensive conversations to find those golden nuggets of wisdom that could inspire and educate.

My approach was to infuse each segment with light motion graphics and animated captions, not only to maintain the viewer’s attention but also to emphasize the key messages. The addition of these subtle yet powerful visual elements transformed the content, making it more accessible and engaging.

The square format of the videos was specifically chosen for its compatibility with LinkedIn’s platform, ensuring that these insights reached the right audience effectively. This format, while restrictive in space, pushed me to be more creative with the visual design, ensuring that every second of the video was impactful.

Throughout this project, I encountered various challenges, such as maintaining the essence of the original content while making it succinct and ensuring the motion graphics were complementary and not distracting.

However, my experience and dedication to the craft allowed me to overcome these hurdles, resulting in a portfolio piece that I am immensely proud of.
