SMASH is a community platform from Grammy-nominated artist Kesha where creators connect and make music on their own terms. When I came on board, they had only a simple waitlist page with no story, no product clarity, and two critical audiences to reach: creators who needed to understand the platform and investors who needed to see the vision.
The challenge was building a launch-ready site that could serve both audiences while capturing the rebellious energy of what SMASH represents. I co-designed and developed the site in Framer, establishing a bold visual system that matches the platform's anti-establishment ethos while clearly communicating a complex product offering.
The technical lift focused heavily on performance optimization. The site features extensive video content that needed to load quickly without sacrificing visual impact. I implemented strategic compression and loading techniques to ensure a smooth experience across devices while maintaining the immersive, high-energy feel the brand demanded.
The result is a site that tells SMASH's story, clarifies the product for creators, and presents a compelling case for investment. It lays the foundation for a new model for how music is made.
