Children's book illustration: Picking yellow flowers

It started with a bedtime story to my kids about a Hokkaido Flying Squirrel and a Spectacled Flying Fox. Now we have more than 10 stories… so we decided to make a fanzine out of one.
This was created as one of my school project (Corvin Art School). It took 6 month to finish the whole thing. The process involved many sketches and consultations with my teacher and my kids.
THE PROCESS
1. Research (animals, and the local, traditional clothes)
2. Character design
3. Story board sketches
4. Color pallets and background design
5. Finalizing the illustrations
6. Preparing the printing material
