Chanakya: The Boy Who Broke His Tooth for His Mother – 56s AI-Generated Short Film
Project Description (Contra-Optimized)
Project Goal
Transform an ancient Indian legend into a visually consistent, emotionally powerful 56-second short film—created entirely by one person using an end-to-end AI workflow. The objective was to prove fast, cinematic storytelling without a traditional production team.
Challenge
Capturing the intensity of a historical myth within a very short runtime required precise pacing, emotional clarity, and strong character continuity. The project needed to be completed in under 48 hours while maintaining cinematic quality.
My Approach
Narrative & Planning: Used LLM story structuring (Grok 4) and Nano Banana Pro to convert the legend into a clean 10-scene JSON storyboard with defined framing, emotional beats, and transitions.
Visual Creation: Generated consistent key visuals using Nano Banana Pro, ensuring stable character identity across all scenes.
Animation Workflow: Produced motion sequences with Kling AI 2.5 and Wan-2.5 (FLF2V workflow), supported by ComfyUI for detail-heavy shots.
Editing & Finish: Assembled and refined the film in Adobe Premiere Pro, optimizing pacing for the 4:3 format.
Audio & Voice: Created an original 56-second orchestral score with Suno v4 and added narration via ElevenLabs to align with the emotional arc.
Outcome
A cohesive 56-second cinematic short film completed within 48 hours. The final result demonstrates how a solo AI creator can deliver emotionally resonant storytelling with full control over visuals, motion, sound, and narrative.
