Bonkers! Magazine Flyer

Bonkers! Magazine is a Gainesville music publication run by students at the University of Florida. The digital magazine focuses on all music genres, but generally employs a punk/grunge/garage aesthetic throughout their branding.

One especially fun project I did for them was a flyer advertising their socials!

I tried drawing upon older homemade photocopy flyers to get my inspiration for this design: Bold, basic text; older typefaces (Futura); and a “collage” style when it comes to image composition.

The hammer is a play on the name of the publication. The photos were taken by myself in the hardware section at Walmart. That’s my hand!
