AgencyDesk connects the work between a client request and a documented handoff. I built this self-initiated Replit portfolio project to demonstrate how a complete business workflow holds together across users, data, and background processing. All sample companies, people, and work are fictional.
The workflow
A client submits a brief. An engineer investigates and prepares a versioned estimate. The client approves the scope, the team delivers the work, and the system generates a private delivery report. Owners, engineers, and clients can each explore their perspective inside an isolated demo workspace.
What I implemented
React and TypeScript interface; Express API; persistent PostgreSQL; workspace and client permissions; estimates and approvals; private attachments; client discussion and staff-only notes; activity history; transactional background jobs with retries and recovery; delivery reports.
Engineering and deployment
I used transactions, row locks, and version checks to protect concurrent changes. Jobs are committed with business updates and recover expired leases. On Replit, I corrected preview-origin configuration and startup after a schema-only database copy, then added regression coverage for both issues.
Verified on September 14, 2026
24 automated tests passed. Four checks against the public app passed: complete delivery workflow, mobile interaction, automated accessibility, and session/file isolation. The app runs on Replit Autoscale with a separate production PostgreSQL database.
Demo boundaries
Payments and notifications are clearly labeled simulations. Signed Stripe webhook fixtures pass; an actual Stripe-hosted test checkout remains unverified. Demo identities are switchable within each visitor's own workspace. Background jobs run while the web process is awake.
