Río Tinto, Huelva Personal project

Río Tinto in southern Spain looks like another planet: highly acidic waters, iron-rich soil, and thousands of years of mining that have reshaped the land. NASA even studies it as a Mars analog.

This wasn't a commission. I simply went to look, and this series is what I found by getting closer: cracks that read like maps, crusts that echo aerial views, a scale that dissolves. What looks like rusted rock from afar can, up close, become a river, a delta, an entire territory.

I'm sharing it because it shows how I see: patiently, with attention to texture and color, looking for the abstract inside the real.
