Cove Kid, created by Ted Bendixson, is a 2D puzzle platformer where you edit the level as you play. Your drone companion has the ability to select a small piece of the level and project it onto surfaces to change the world around you.
The art style is inspired by Fez, a charming and clean game. We chose this direction because it effectively communicates the game’s core ideas with simplicity and clarity.
Ted reached out to us with a solid prototype, though it had placeholder graphics. We revamped the visuals, adding more opportunity to enhance the gameplay and decorate the level.
