Cross-border payment & settlement platform on the pan-African PAPSS network.
The problem: A multilateral development bank needed to settle payments across African borders through the pan-African PAPSS network, with the security, approval controls and auditability that bank money-movement demands.
What I did: As lead developer I built application using, Angular 18 and the Spring Boot, and led another developer through the build.
Highlights
Credit-transfer initiation with fee / tax / FX calculation
An operations console; real-time transaction tracking, PDF reporting, full audit-log trail
A maker-checker approval workflow (second pair of eyes on every transfer)
PAPSS-network integration over mutual-TLS REST, orchestrating ISO 20022 messages (signed/formatted by a third-party core-banking adaptor)
Enterprise auth: JWT + TOTP/email-OTP MFA + LDAP/Active Directory
Full LTR/RTL internationalization
Outcome: A production-grade settlement platform built to bank-grade security and audit standards, where a mistake moving money is expensive.
