In recent years, there has been a growing emphasis on informed decision-making, empowering women to take charge of their sexual health. The
Guttmacher Institute said it best: “When women and their partners have access and information about contraceptives, there is evidence that it leads to positive health, social, and economic outcomes.”1 Not only is an informed approach more proactive, enhances physical health, and contributes significantly to emotional and psychological well-being, but it can also encourage good law and policy-making – which women everywhere need.
