Private School Reaches Number 1 on Google Local Search

A local private school did not show up on Google at all for people looking for a school in their community.

Most people looking for a service do not go past the first page so it was crucial to get them on the top three as soon as possible.

Starting Point

I began managing their Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business) and came up with a strategy to improve their ranking.

Within three months I was able to move them to the top three and within six months I was able to get them to the number one spot where they have maintained their position for months.

As of 2023, they are still first on the local map pack.

The school website was not found in search within the first 10 pages and was not found at all on the local map pack.

Within 6 Months

They were found at the top 3 of the Local Map Pack on Google and FIRST on Google Search.

After 6 months

They are first on Google Local Search for one keyword and second on another. They have since moved on and upon doing so lost their spot on Google Search for a few of their keywords.
