Geographic Entity Management for Wildlife Compliance

I worked on a project for a government agency responsible for Sweden’s road and railroad network. The agency required a solution to ensure compliance with regulations protecting wildlife. Specifically, the system needed to track wildlife crossings over and under roads and railroads, while also identifying and managing areas where rare species of flora and fauna are present near railway stations.

The solution involved creating a comprehensive database to manage these critical geographic sites. It included tracking wildlife crossings, stations with rare species, and other environmentally sensitive locations. The system also monitored the maintenance schedules of these sites, ensuring timely upkeep and addressing any special considerations related to rare species or other environmental factors.
