Project Overview
This is a self-initiated concept project where I redesigned a Klaviyo Welcome Flow email series inspired by Mejuri, a luxury fine jewelry brand known for its minimalist aesthetic and Shopify-powered DTC store.
I chose Mejuri as my reference brand because their clean visual identity is a perfect match for high-end email design, and welcome flows are the highest-ROI automation any eCommerce brand can have.
This passion project allowed me to showcase my full process from Figma email design to Klaviyo flow strategy the same way I'd approach a real client brief.
Goal
The goal was to design a Klaviyo welcome flow concept that:
Converts new subscribers into first-time buyers through intentional email design
Reflects a luxury brand's visual identity minimal, editorial, and product-forward
Demonstrates how a well-structured Klaviyo automation would work for a fine jewelry eCommerce brand
Strategy
The concept strategy was built around three pillars:
1. Brand-First Design
Instead of a generic Klaviyo template, I designed a fully custom email in Figma that mirrors Mejuri's website aesthetic minimal layout, elegant typography, muted tones, and product-forward composition.
2. Conversion-Focused Flow Structure
The welcome flow was mapped out as a subscriber journey: brand introduction social proof, product discovery, purchase incentive. Each email has a single clear CTA to reduce decision fatigue and improve click-through rates.
3. Klaviyo Segmentation Logic
The flow concept includes Klaviyo conditional splits based on subscriber behavior product browsing, link clicks, and purchases so the right message reaches the right person at the right time.
Brand Research - Studied Mejuri's website, visual language, typography, and product photography style
Wireframing in Figma - Built a low-fidelity structure first, then a high-fidelity email design with real copy and styled components
Klaviyo Template Build - Translated the Figma design into a Klaviyo email template
Flow Mapping - Designed the full welcome sequence with trigger logic, send timing, and conditional splits
QA & Rendering Test - Tested across Gmail, Apple Mail, and mobile to ensure full responsiveness
