Final Arts Made for Real Shows - Key Visuals for Music & Events

João Figueiredo

João Figueiredo

Years of key art made to move fast - from a single Instagram story to the 5-metre-tall entrance portico people walked through to get into the festival grounds.
As a freelancer, for Think Music Records, and for Música no Coração, one of Portugal's biggest live music promoters, I designed the full product range end to end: album and EP covers, wristbands, tickets, posters, festival signage, stage backdrops, merch, social campaigns - anything that needed a look before opening night.
Every piece here shipped: printed, built, worn, scanned at the gate, sold out.
MASEGO - LISBOA
A boarding-pass concept for a "Studying Abroad" tour stop - torn ticket stub, illustrated Masego mid-climb over a Lisbon skyline. Playful, narrative-driven key art for a one-night-only Coliseu dos Recreios show.
SUPER BOCK SUPER ROCK '22
Lineup poster for one of Europe's biggest summer festivals. A$AP Rocky, Foals, C. Tangana and 20+ more names stacked into one relentless wall of red type - torn-paper edge, stadium-scale energy, built to stop the scroll.
#000000 PROFJAM - "Contraste"
Stepping outside music for a short film poster: an empty writer's desk lit like a stage, waiting for its subject. Same eye for atmosphere, different medium.
AMÁLIA - Odemira Recorda
A tribute poster for a hometown celebration of Amália Rodrigues - her silhouette in bold cut-paper illustration, red lips and a single Portuguese-tile earring standing in for a lifetime of fado. Quiet, iconic, unmistakably her.
SUMOL SUMMER FEST - BURNA BOY
A last-minute headliner announcement needed a poster with the same urgency. Acid green, hand-scrawled hype, a horse statue that has no business looking this good. Made to be shared in seconds.
FESTIVAL NOSSA LISBOA - Altice Arena
Two nights, 18 concerts, 3 stages, one colour system built from African textile patterns - quilted diamonds, sun-ray eyes, zig-zag borders in red, blue, yellow and green. A festival identity big enough to carry a full lineup of Lusophone icons, from Ana Moura to Bonga.
MEO SUDOESTE '22
Lineup poster for MEO Sudoeste 2022 in Zambujeira do Mar, 2 to 6 August. Major Lazer and Timmy Trumpet lead a stack of bold, slanted type set over a crowd shot, framed by the festival's patterned border to keep the Sudoeste identity front and centre.
THINK MUSIC RECORDS - SIPPINPURPP "3880"
Barbed wire, purple smoke, a stare straight down the lens. Hard-edged gothic type for a hard-edged EP launch.
GALA RÁDIO AMÁLIA - 12º ANIVERSÁRIO
A tribute built around the woman the station is named for: a half-tone portrait of Amália Rodrigues, fractured against a line-drawing of Fórum Municipal Luísa Todi. Fado heritage meets modern collage.
