Nike provided the original shoe to be modelled. Photogrammetry was used on to scan its general 3D shape, which was then used as reference to create a shoe model as separate sub models with clean and efficient polygon meshes. Since the shoe model needed to load quickly online but had a lot if detail, light map and normal map textures were baked onto the low poly model to provide the impression of more detail. The three.js code was then updated with the new customization options to be applied to the new 3D model components. After the Isobar team then reskinned the user interface graphics, the new updated configurator was released to be enjoyed by Nike fans.
