Optimizing Google Ads for Language Services Conversion
Google Ads Performance Overview — 706+ tracked conversions from 48.9K clicks and 1M+ impressions with £2.91K in ad spend.
Google Ads | 700+ /Month Conversions for a UK Language Services Business
Turning high-intent Google searches into direct calls, enquiries, and measurable business opportunities.
I managed Google Ads for a UK-based language services business providing professional interpretation and translation services.
The objective was not simply to increase website traffic. The campaign was built around a more valuable goal: reach people actively searching for language services and convert that demand into direct customer enquiries through calls and website actions.
What We Achieved
The campaigns successfully generated:
706+ Tracked Conversions
48.9K+ Clicks
1M+ Impressions
£2.91K Total Ad Spend
The primary conversion actions were customer calls and enquiries generated through Google Ads and the website, making the campaign focused on genuine acquisition rather than traffic alone.
The campaigns also generated substantial downstream conversion value for the business. The exact revenue and conversion value remain confidential, but overall campaign performance demonstrated that paid search was a successful customer-acquisition channel for the client.
The Challenge
Interpretation and translation are highly intent-driven services.
A person searching for an interpreter may require assistance immediately, while other searches may simply be informational. Spending budget across both types of users would reduce campaign efficiency.
My challenge as the Paid Media Specialist was therefore to identify and capture commercial search intent, while minimizing irrelevant traffic and directing qualified prospects toward an enquiry.
My Paid Media Strategy
I developed a structured Google Search strategy around different services and customer intentions.
Instead of placing everything into one campaign, the account was segmented across areas such as interpretation, translation, call-focused acquisition, and other language-service searches.
High-Intent Keyword Targeting
I prioritized keywords that indicated a stronger likelihood of contacting a language-service provider.
Search terms were continuously reviewed so that budget could be directed toward commercially relevant traffic while irrelevant searches were reduced.
Conversion-Focused Campaign Structure
Campaigns and ad groups were organized around individual services and search intentions.
As the Paid Media Specialist, I was responsible for the Google Ads process from strategy through ongoing optimization:

Search Intent Analysis

The Outcome
The strongest achievement wasn't simply reaching 1M+ impressions or 48.9K clicks.
It was converting paid search demand into 706+ tracked customer actions, including calls and website-generated enquiries, while working with approximately £2.91K in advertising spend.
Beyond the tracked conversion volume, those enquiries produced meaningful commercial value for the client. The exact conversion value is intentionally not disclosed for confidentiality.
This project demonstrates my approach to performance marketing:
Find high-intent demand → Build the right campaign structure → Eliminate wasted traffic → Optimize for conversions → Turn advertising spend into measurable business opportunities.
For me, successful Google Ads management isn't about buying clicks. It's about building a measurable acquisition channel that contributes to business growth.
