There is no diversity in the tech content creation space in Nige

Hi,

My name is Jamie and I am a tech content creator within the Nigerian tech space. I love this space a lot and I would love for this space to grow even more but there is one problem that this space has. This space is not DIVERSE.

The only content we see from tech creators in this space have to mostly do with the review of smartphones and hardly anything else. Now reviewing smartphones is not a bad thing at all, in fact I am happy that smartphones are being reviewed by these creators but however the fact still remains that this space is not diverse enough.

There are hardly any creators in this space that create content that isn’t solely based on smartphone related content and there is so much to offer in the Nigerian tech space that doesn’t have to do with smartphones alone. I want to see creators whose content is about reviewing gadgets that are not smartphones and can instead review gadgets like camera equipment, laptops, etc. Now if these creators have a sole focus on a certain aspect of tech, they will become an authority in that space and viewers can look to them for advice based on that certain aspect they concentrate on.

I also want to see creators who can make stories telling us stories on how technology has personally helped them to solve a problem within Nigeria. This type of content would inspire viewers in my opinion and bring more diversity in this tech creator space.

In conclusion, I want there to be more tech creators that can come out and share their stories and ideas to bring about more diversity this space so that this space can grow even more. I simply want to see more people who are into technology in Nigeria.

@xaneai on TikTok: This creator also creates content about building their own tech gadgets from scratch such as a AI gadget that helps to reduce carbon emissions caused by deforestation, a pair of smart shoes with built in cameras and a step counter, etc

@semundaraabayomi on TikTok: This creator talks about fintech and tech startups and held to shed light about what is going on in the fintech and tech industry in Nigeria.

@onlinebanker on TikTok: This creator talks about the banking space in Nigeria in detail and explains different banking policies put in place by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). This creator also talks about fintechs and the economic state of Nigeria as well.
