“FREEDOM FOR IRAN!” Human rights are universal, and Iran’s Gen Z

“Women! Life! Freedom!” chanted the crowd of Iranian Americans at Perishing Square in Los Angeles on Saturday, Oct. 22nd.

Thousands of women and men gathered to let their voices be heard and fight for the rights of their Iranian sisters. Iranian music played in the background as they spoke out in both English and Farsi. The demonstrators proudly waved their tricolor flags and held up their signs, which read ’Regime change for Iran’ and ‘Rise with the Women of Iran’ #MahsaAmini, to name a few.
