Bonito is a fintech app designed to make digital transactions effortless, offering seamless USD wallets and virtual cards. The onboarding experience quickly introduces users to these features clearly and intuitively, building confidence and ensuring they can start transacting with ease from day one.

Traditional banking apps often overwhelm users with complex, time-consuming processes. Confusing interfaces, unclear steps for currency management, and friction in setting up virtual cards create frustration, mistakes, and mistrust in digital financial tools.

Bonito simplifies the financial experience with a clean, user-friendly platform for creating USD wallets and virtual cards. The onboarding process leverages engaging visuals and concise guidance to demystify digital finance, ensuring every step feels simple, secure, and stress-free.

I began by conducting targeted research to uncover user pain points and identify gaps in competitor apps. Instead of starting with low-fidelity wireframes, I moved directly into high-fidelity mockups in Figma, enabling me to establish a strong visual direction early on. I developed a custom style guide to ensure design consistency, using minimalistic illustrations, clear typography, and intuitive layouts to communicate features effectively. Through iterative user testing, I refined the onboarding flow to maximise clarity, engagement, and trust. The final polished designs were prepared for a seamless developer handoff, delivering an onboarding experience that feels effortless and empowering.
