The Best of 2022 in Activewear Fashion

Are you wondering what the best activewear trends and colors are in Autumn/Winter 2022/2023? We decided to do in-depth trend research to design and launch our activewear collection for this season and consulted WGSN for the color trends first. The colors in trend for A/W 22/23 will be honeycomb, jade, dark oak, lazuli blue, orchid flower. What a lovely array of colors, depicting a bright spirit from the honeycomb and orchid flower to the dark, and I-mean-business colors like lazuli blue and dark oak. These colors are perfect for activewear and that’s just what our customers will be getting in our collection this season.

Over the years, gym clothing has evolved and is not just functional for the gym but also for lounging around, going out, and day-to-day wear; however, one may style or prefer them. Activewear evolved into athleisure focusing on comfort and now it is evolving into ‘Athluxe’; combining athletic wear with a hint of luxury. What a fun concept! Athluxe is an interplay of contrasting textures, for example, a mixture of satin and mesh and also draping and pleating combined. Soft neutral tones are preferred in Athluxe with a metallic sheen or lustrous finish. This makes a perfect gym-to-street-style outfit. Go to the gym and then wear it up or down for a night out or even to work which evolves further into ‘Athflow’ which is a mixture of elegance, athleisure, and flow. Style activewear however you may prefer!

Biker Shorts

Don’t we all love the Lady Di signature casual look with the sweatshirt and bicycle shorts? Well, Bike Shorts have been making quite the boom lately and are here to stay.

Cross Over waist

Get that hourglass cinched in the waist by going for a crossover V-waist in tights, leggings, and trousers to give an illusion of a narrower waist.

According to TZR, when people are now returning to their pre-pandemic life and workout routines, they feel the urge to be more fashion-forward, therefore, activewear also needs to be trend-driven. This is because people are having fun with activewear by styling it in new ways. A perfect example of this is the workout catsuit or jumpsuit which boosts confidence.

It is all about comfort and style, and ribbed fabrics are one of the comfiest materials in activewear and athleisure without biting into your skin and cutting off that circulation! The fabric is functional but also visually appealing and has a great texture style.
