Hey everyone, welcome back to my kitchen! Today, I'm going to be showing you how to make one of my all-time favorite dishes: chicken parmesan.
[Cut to a shot of the ingredients laid out on the counter]
To make this delicious Italian classic, you'll need:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup of Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup of marinara sauce
1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
Salt and pepper, to taste
Olive oil, for frying
[Cut back to you]
The first step is to pound the chicken breasts until they are even in thickness. This helps them cook evenly and ensures they are tender and juicy. I like to use a meat mallet for this, but you can also use a rolling pin or the bottom of a heavy skillet.

Once the chicken breasts are flattened, season them with salt and pepper on both sides.

Next, you'll want to set up a breading station. In one bowl, mix together the Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese. In another bowl, beat the eggs.

Now, dip each chicken breast in the egg mixture, then coat it in the breadcrumb mixture. Make sure to press the breadcrumbs onto the chicken so they stick.

In a large skillet, heat up enough olive oil to cover the bottom of the pan over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the breaded chicken breasts and cook them for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.

Once the chicken is cooked through, remove it from the pan and place it on a baking sheet. Top each chicken breast with a generous spoonful of marinara sauce and a sprinkle of shredded mozzarella cheese.

Pop the chicken parmesan into a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
