The Context
This reel was created for a Facebook group dedicated to making Greek mythology accessible and thought-provoking. The audience isn't academics; they're people who want to feel something when they encounter these stories.
The Approach
Medea's myth is one of the darkest in Greek literature: betrayal, rage, and a woman who refuses to be discarded quietly. I wanted the reel to hit emotionally, not just summarize the plot. The script (written with ChatGPT) retells the story in clear, direct language and weaves in reflective questions that invite viewers to connect the ancient narrative to their own lives.
The Build
ElevenLabs handled the voiceover narration, giving the piece an immersive, cinematic feel. I composed the background music in Suno AI, aiming for something epic but contemplative. Adobe Firefly generated the animations, bringing the mythological imagery to life with vivid, dark visuals. Final assembly and editing happened in Canva.
The Goal
Make mythology feel personal, not just educational. Pair striking visuals with questions that stick with the viewer after the reel ends.
