Speculative SEO Audit - Unbridled Homes

Project Summary

I published a speculative SEO audit of Unbridled Homes, a Louisville custom home builder with strong offline credibility but weak visibility for high-intent local searches like "custom home builder Louisville KY."
This was an unsolicited diagnostic project, not a client engagement. The purpose was to demonstrate how I think through local SEO visibility gaps using publicly accessible signals.

The Visibility Gap

The business had strong real-world authority: third-generation builder, BIA of Louisville leadership, Homearama participation, professional photography, and an active brand presence.
But the site was not showing up where qualified buyers were searching. That gap between business quality and search visibility is exactly where diagnostic SEO matters.

What I Audited

Homepage metadata and Open Graph descriptions
Service-page title tags and local keyword alignment
JSON-LD schema presence across accessible pages
NAP consistency across visible website and citation sources
Unclaimed review/citation profiles carrying outdated information
Social sharing metadata and image behavior

Key Findings

The homepage meta description was an owner biography instead of a service/location description
The primary service page used a slogan title instead of a keyword-informed title
No JSON-LD schema markup was present on accessible pages
Conflicting business addresses were active across citation sources
A Birdeye profile with reviews was unclaimed and carried outdated data
Social sharing metadata used a generic placeholder instead of the company's strong photography

Takeaway

The business was not invisible because it lacked authority. It was invisible because the SEO infrastructure was not translating that authority into clear, consistent search signals.
The remediation path was straightforward: schema implementation, title/meta rewrites, citation cleanup, GBP optimization, and better social/OG metadata.
