The Magic Golden Flower
A golden flower in the dark Shines with a radiant glow A hidden treasure in the park A secret only I know
I found it by a stroke of luck One night when I was lost I followed its enchanting light And marveled at its cost
It whispered to me in my ear A language of the stars It told me stories of the past And dreams of lands afar
It gave me comfort and warmth A friend I could confide It made me feel alive and free A joy I could not hide
But soon the dawn began to break And I had to say goodbye I kissed the flower and thanked it And saw a tear in its eye
I promised I would come again And keep it company It nodded and smiled at me And said it would wait for me
I left the flower in the dark But kept it in my heart A golden flower that glows at night A magic work of art
