The Challenge

Dr. Home Finance had been helping physicians navigate the complexities of specialized mortgage lending for over a decade, but their WordPress site wasn't keeping pace with their ambitions. The platform struggled with performance issues, required constant maintenance, and made it difficult to quickly update content or test new features. More critically, the user experience felt outdated—physicians visiting the site faced cluttered layouts, buried information, and a navigation structure that didn't reflect how they actually searched for lenders.
The existing content was comprehensive but overwhelming. Dense paragraphs, excessive bullet points, and blog-style formatting made it hard for busy medical professionals to quickly find what they needed. The site needed to transform from an information repository into an intuitive resource that respected physicians' limited time while still providing the depth they required to make confident financial decisions.

Site Structure

Working with the client, the information architecture was rebuilt around the physician's journey. Instead of forcing users to hunt through generic mortgage content, we created distinct pathways for different career stages and needs.

Moving from WordPress to Framer

The migration to Framer was driven by the need for speed, flexibility, and modern design capabilities. We approached the migration systematically. First, we audited all existing content, identifying what to keep, consolidate, or retire. Core educational content was rewritten for clarity and scannability. The lender directory was restructured with better filtering and more prominent contact options.
Highlights:
Migrated 100+ Blog posts to Framer's CMS
Updated necessary redirect to maintain SEO ranking.
Migrated Bank and Banker profiles

Custom Components

Using Claude.ai, custom Framer components were created rather than loading them via iframes.
Highlights:
A custom, responsive US Map Component that connected to a CMS list of US States.
A dynamic Breadcrumb component that updated depending on where a user clicked on a bank.
A Sitemap component that reads the sitemap.xml and formats the content in more visual way when placed on a page. It automatically updates as pages are added or removed, great for when blog posts are added.
A Interactive Mortgage Calculator component, that allows a user to get an estimated breakdown of what their mortgage payments would be.

The Result

The new Dr. Home Finance site delivers the performance and user experience that matches the quality of service the company provides. Page load times dropped significantly and physicians could find relevant information in half the time compared to the old site.
