Mobile Ordering App for a Pizzeria

A local pizzeria in Germany was losing orders to competitors with online ordering. Their phone-based system couldn't keep up during peak hours, leading to missed orders, mistakes, and frustrated customers. They needed a digital ordering system but didn't want to depend on third-party delivery platforms that take a cut of every sale.

I designed and developed the complete system from scratch: three interconnected applications working together in real time.

Customer Mobile App — Built with Expo/React Native. Clean interface for browsing the menu, building a cart, paying securely via Stripe, and tracking order status with push notifications. Optimized for speed so customers can reorder in under 30 seconds.

Kitchen Dashboard — A real-time web dashboard where staff see incoming orders the moment they're placed. They can accept, reject, or mark orders as ready, and every status change pushes back to the customer app instantly.

Backend API — Node.js server handling authentication, order processing, payment flows, menu management, and real-time communication between all three apps. Built on Supabase and PostgreSQL for reliability.

The system is live in Germany, handling real orders from real customers every day. The pizzeria eliminated phone order errors, sped up their kitchen workflow, and gave customers a modern ordering experience on their own terms, with no third-party platform fees.
