Association of Surgeons in Training (ASiT) is the representative body and collective voice of surgical trainees across all specialties in the United Kingdom, supporting doctors from medical school through to senior training. The Association plays a central role in advocacy, policy engagement, and research related to surgical training and workforce conditions, promoting fair access to training, improved working conditions, and the long-term sustainability of the surgical workforce. 

With approximately 3,500 members, ASiT is one of the largest surgical specialty associations in the UK and provides guidance, education, and training courses to support surgeons throughout their professional development.

This project involved a visual refresh of ASiT’s existing identity, the complete design of a multi-page policy report and the program of ASiT 2026 Conference in Manchester, UK. The work focused on strengthening clarity, credibility, and long-term relevance while maintaining continuity with an established and trusted organisation within the medical and policy landscape.

The identity refresh needed to reinforce ASiT’s role in advocacy and education while remaining appropriate for professional and policy-facing contexts. In parallel, the report required a clear and structured editorial system capable of communicating complex, content-heavy material to trainees, institutions, and external stakeholders.

The logo refresh focused on expressing advocacy, guidance, and professionalism in a contemporary yet authoritative way. Subtle refinements were made to ensure clarity, credibility, and durability for future use.

The editorial report was designed with emphasis on layout, hierarchy, readability, and visual rhythm, supporting complex policy content and enabling clear communication for professional and institutional audiences.

The publication was designed to clearly organise the conference schedule, speakers, and essential information for a three-day event attended by surgeons across multiple specialties. This edition marked the 50-year anniversary of ASiT, giving the program a special significance as part of the celebration of the organisation’s long-standing contribution to surgical training.
