In media, there is large amounts of gender inequality as even the global film industry is shaped by that issue as well. Women are structurally underrepresented in professional roles that include high levels of creative & economic power, such as directors and producers. Using the framework set by the Bechdel test, this experience is highlighting directors that have made 2 or more movies that begin to feature women in a more equitable manner. (bech)IDEAL is not the end all be all test of feminism, but a start to quantify the marginalization of women in film & thus begin a compelling conversation.

It was found that you should "not force the data to fit your problem" as it is crucial to understand the balance between data literacy & narration so that it can be displayed in a digestible manner.
