I love experimenting with AI as a way to bring ideas into existence, and pet portraits have become one of my favorite places to explore that. RUFF Holiday Portraits came from wanting to create something festive and personal, while also building a process that could scale without losing its soul.

A lot of the work happened up front — dialing in the style, details, and constraints so the system could adapt to each dog’s photos. From there, AI helps translate real pets into illustrated portraits, and every piece is finished with hands-on tweaks and refinements until it feels just right.
