The following action plans should be a priority for websites to get higher traffic:
- Research and use relevant keywords throughout the website, including in the website's metadata, page titles, and headings.
- Optimize the website's content for both search engines and users, using long-tail keywords and providing valuable, informative content.
- Use header tags (H1, H2, etc.) appropriately to signal to search engines the hierarchy of the website's content.
- Use alt tags to describe images on the website, which can help the website rank for image search results.
- Build high-quality backlinks from other reputable websites to increase the website's authority and improve its ranking.
- Set up and verify the website with Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools to monitor its performance and receive alerts about any issues.
- Use a sitemap to help search engines crawl and index the website's pages.
- Ensure the website is mobile-friendly and has a fast loading speed, as these factors can affect its ranking.
- Use structured data (such as schema markup) to help search engines understand the website's content and provide rich snippets in the search results.
- Monitor the website's ranking and traffic using tools such as Google Analytics, and make ongoing optimizations as needed.
