Role: Fullstack Developer (HTB abat Bremen | May 2022 – September 2022)
Objective: Develop an IoT system to monitor hazardous gases (CO2, PM2.5) in factories and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Technologies & Implementation:
Hardware: Programmed Arduino Uno boards with gas sensors (C/C++) to collect data. Devices transmitted readings via LoRaWAN to a central gateway.
Frontend: Created a responsive dashboard with React.js, featuring real-time graphs (Chart.js) and threshold alerts.
Backend: Built microservices using Node.js and Express.js. Deployed a message broker (RabbitMQ) to handle sensor data and trigger SMS alerts via Twilio.
Cloud: Stored historical data in AWS Timestream and used Lambda functions for data aggregation.
Challenges & Solutions:
Low-Power Devices: Optimized Arduino code to extend battery life by 30% using sleep cycles.
Data Integrity: Implemented checksum validation and retry mechanisms for packet loss during transmission.
Outcome: Enabled compliance with EU safety regulations and reduced incident response time from 2 hours to 15 minutes.**
