Background

An Asian-based global fintech startup was running its first global brand campaign across North and South America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. The ad campaign was developed by a US-based agency. This was their first international project.

My role

I worked for the US agency as their international media director, tasked with managing the rollout of this campaign across media in 24 countries. Working with the international agency teams, I ensured that the local execution was aligned with the global strategy and was responsible for getting these plans approved by the global CMO.
As the international expert at the agency, I also advised other departments and management on global best practice.

Results

Despite numerous legal and logistical challenges, the campaign launched on the same day in all 24 countries. And almost immediately after launch, the fintech startup saw a 25% increase in app downloads.
