History of Corporate Form

I am a practicing lawyer and an academic. Over the last few years I've studied corporation and other business forms going back to the late classical period. Turns out the corporations had a purpose way before capitalism was even an idea. And that purpose was the public good. I'm writing about the history of the corporation and its evolution from a tool for public good to private interest.
