Aumtco - Mass Transit Payment Cards and App

Background

The Aumtco Project consisted on implemented NFC-based cards for automating the ticketing system in buses. The government of Abuja, Nigeria was looking to implement an automated system to automate the ticketing and provide an ease-of-travel to the residents of Abuja.

Project Objective

Our objective is to establish a convenient and seamless service catering to daily commuters, facilitating effortless transactions with transport cards and ensuring customer’s peace of mind while traveling.

Project Goals

• Develop an integrated web-based system to onboard transport vendors, their personnel, maintain the bus schedules as well as fares for easy integrations.
• Develop a user-friendly mobile app that allows commuters to check card balances, view transaction history, and make payments using their transport cards.
• Improve the user experience and payment process to reduce waiting times and enhance convenience, aligning with the needs and preferences of daily commuters.
• Launch the integrated transport card service within 12 months, with a detailed project timeline outlining specific milestones for development, testing, and deployment.
• Track and report on the project's financial performance quarterly, aiming for a 10% reduction in operational costs while maintaining service quality over the next fiscal year.
• Continuously analyze user behavior and trends through data analytics, identifying opportunities for service improvement and enhancement over the project's lifecycle.
• Launch a marketing campaign within three months of project completion to promote the integrated transport card service and achieve a 15% increase in user adoption within the following year.

Deliverables

• A fully functional web-based ERP system that consists of vendor management, fleet management, driver and supervisor onboarding and other features.
• A fully functional mobile application compatible with iOS and Android platforms, allowing commuters to manage their transport cards, check balances, view transaction history, and make payments.
• Print and activate cards to be used by daily commuters
• An efficient and secure payment processing system that facilitates quick and secure transactions using transport cards.
• Integrate with different banking institutions to top up the cards directly from their bank accounts.
• Report on the project's financial performance quarterly, aiming for a 10% reduction in operational costs while maintaining service quality over the next fiscal year.
