Founded in 1949, ArtReview and ArtReview Asia are two of the world’s leading international contemporary art magazines, dedicated to expanding the audience for contemporary art. They reached out to Airnauts to develop a new web presence for ArtReview as the old website had become outdated. As a part of the talented team of designers and developers at Airnauts, my role was to implement the beautiful design into a website based on React and Gatsby.

I worked with a backend developer who set up WordPress as an easy to manage CMS and content API. After launching the new website, ArtReview received very positive feedback from their audience. Their readers enjoy the fresh and minimalist design, as well as the performance and ease of use. The site strikes a balance between supporting images, video, and text. And, according to ArtReview, the advertising sales have increased since the launch of the new site.
