Design and Development:
I spearheaded the design, development, testing, and release of the Foodly iOS app, which was built entirely from scratch. Adhering to clean architecture principles and utilizing the Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) pattern, the app was constructed modularly, incorporating both internal and external libraries. The integration of several SDKs was a key aspect of this project, including:
Firebase: Utilized for crashlytics and push notifications, ensuring robust error tracking and effective user engagement.
Branch: Integrated for deep linking to enhance user navigation and app accessibility.
Mixpanel: Implemented for comprehensive analytics, providing valuable insights into user behavior and app performance.
Kingfisher: Used for efficient image caching, improving app performance and user experience.
System Design and Integration:
I led the system design efforts to integrate a seamless shopping experience with Amazon for delivery fulfilment. This involved collaboration with multiple delivery services such as Amazon Fresh, Morrisons, Co-Op, and Iceland, ensuring a wide range of options for our users. The integration was designed to provide a smooth and reliable shopping and delivery experience directly through the app.
User Interface Design:
The project also included the design of both the mobile app and the accompanying website. The design focused on user-friendly interfaces, intuitive navigation, and a visually appealing aesthetic to enhance the overall user experience.
User Acquisition and Growth:
Through strategic marketing efforts and user engagement initiatives, I played a significant role in helping the app reach its first 500 users. This milestone included users actively placing basket orders, marking a successful launch and initial adoption phase.
