Ruta | 80s Inspired Horror Short Film

The inspiration for this short film came to me while doing a photo shoot at a gas station in Villa Elisa, a small city located in Entre Ríos, Argentina. The lighting was so beautiful and I felt that there was a story there, a dark but colorful story. So this gas station ended up becoming our main set and where most of the story would take place.
I've been a fan of Dario Argento for a long time so I felt that his work on Suspiria would be the perfect reference to get the mood we were looking for, I just love how he used colored lights to elevate emotions in a scene. In the end, all we wanted to do is tell a story reminiscent of old 80s movies with a very marked b-horror style and explore how that could work.
