🚀 Never Miss a High-Value Client Lead: Building a Real-Time Portfolio Notification System with Flutter & Vercel Serverless

As developers, having a portfolio website is standard. But what happens when a prospective client submits an inquiry while you're away from your desk? Traditional email notifications often get lost in spam or checked hours later.

To solve this, I designed and built PNotifications — a real-time lead notification & management ecosystem that connects my web portfolio directly to my Android device with instant heads-up push alerts.

🎥 In this demo: 1️⃣ Submitting a project inquiry with contact info & WhatsApp on my live portfolio. 2️⃣ Instant FCM push notification arrives on my Android device with custom sound & vibration. 3️⃣ Tapping the alert deep-links directly into the lead details. 4️⃣ 1-Tap quick actions to reply via WhatsApp, Direct Call, or Email.

💡 Architectural Highlights: • Zero-Cost Architecture: Built entirely on Firebase Spark (Free Tier) by utilizing a Vercel Serverless Function to dispatch FCM multicasts via Firebase Admin SDK — zero paid Cloud Functions or credit card needed! • Mobile App Stack: Flutter, BLoC State Management, Material 3 Dark Theme, Flutter Local Notifications, and Deep Link Routing. • Robust Backend: Clean validation, serverless Firestore persistence, and multi-admin token isolation with secure session management.
