Building an Android Component Library for a major airline

When I joined KLM as a freelance UX designer, one of my tasks was to help support the Android teams in their development work. The workflow was problematic for the developers as often the designs that were being delivered to them were iOS designs that they were asked to 'reskin'. This approach did not work for a multitude of reasons, the guidelines for Android and iOS differ considerably, and some design solutions work well for one platform but are out of place and disjointed for the other. I tasked myself to create an Android Component Library in Sketch, and this was shared with all of the internal design staff to help ensure that Android designs were being delivered.
