About the Project
Tactical IP, a leader in providing mission-critical communication services for first responders and the Department of Defense, sought to revamp its website. The project was completed in just one month, with Zach Nichols from 906 Creative handling the design and Chris Loggins taking charge of the development.
The primary objective was to rebuild Tactical IP's website to present the company's services and products more efficiently and with a modern aesthetic. The technical goals included implementing Zach's designs, establishing a scalable class system, and creating reusable components for future site extensions. A unique challenge was the development of a responsive table component in Webflow, as there were no existing widgets or apps to accomplish this at the time.
Components are reused throughout the site.
Execution
The project was executed with a focus on scalability and ease of management. A class system was carefully designed to allow for future site extensions and to make it easier for the client to manage the site. The responsive table component was custom-built in Webflow, providing the client with a manageable solution that didn't exist in Webflow's existing feature set.
A Responsive Table Component.
Results
The project was a resounding success. Zach Nichols, who contracted Chris for the development work, was extremely pleased with the class system and found it easy to manage the site. Tactical IP's client was equally satisfied with the new website, which remains unchanged to this day, testifying to its effectiveness and durability.
Lessons Learned & Key Takeaways
The project highlighted the importance of a well-thought-out class system in Webflow for scalability and ease of management. It also showcased the flexibility of Webflow in creating custom solutions like the responsive table component. The client's satisfaction and the longevity of the site serve as strong indicators of the project's success.
