I converted Tanget's existing static site to use Craft CMS. The scope of the project was to keep the design the same as for the old site, however, I lobbied for many small improvements to the site's usability and accessibility. I was also able to fix numerous bugs and improve the website performance despite going from a static site to a CMS.
The original website was built using a heavily modified bootstrap based template and was comprised of approximately 5 unique page types. The one significant addition was that I also added a "news" section to the site. Everything was made configurable in the back-end using Craft CMS, so that additional news, project and discipline items can be added easily.
The original static site was very bloated and I rebuilt this site lean and mean. I removed jquery and boostrap and a few other unnecessary libaries and added in automatic image transforms to serve images in web peformant format.
