Overview

VELO is a concept ride-hailing platform built around a single promise: get from tap to arrival in under a minute. I designed and built the full marketing and product site a dual-sided experience serving both riders and drivers with a distinctive neo-noir visual identity that sets it apart from the flat, white-heavy look most mobility apps default to.

The challenge

Ride-hailing is a crowded, trust-sensitive category. A new entrant has to do two hard things at once: convince riders it's fast, transparent, and safe, and convince drivers the economics are worth switching for. The site needed to speak to both audiences without feeling generic, and to communicate a live, real-time product through a static page.

The approach

I anchored the design in a confined, high-contrast palette near-black backgrounds with a single electric-lime accent to create a premium, "engineered" feel that reads instantly as a brand rather than a template. The homepage leads with an interactive live-grid map and a real-time fare estimate so the product feels alive from the first scroll.
To serve both audiences, I structured the page as parallel narratives: a rider journey (set your route, pick your ride, track and arrive) and a driver value proposition (keep 85% of every fare, withdraw daily, clear dashboard). An eight-class fleet grid lets riders match the ride to the moment, from a bike taxi to black-car service, and a fully transparent fare table removes pricing ambiguity — a direct answer to the category's biggest trust problem.

What I built

The site includes a hero booking widget with pickup and destination inputs, an animated live-tracking map, an eight-vehicle fleet showcase, a three-step "how it works" flow, a feature grid covering live tracking, upfront fares, emergency SOS, in-app wallet, notifications and two-way reviews, a driver-recruitment section with earnings stats, a mobile-app promo, a complete fare table, testimonials from both riders and drivers, an FAQ, and a contact section.

The outcome

The result is a cohesive, production-feeling product site that communicates speed, transparency, and safety to riders while making a compelling economic pitch to drivers — all wrapped in a memorable neo-noir identity that stands apart in a category dominated by sameness. Built end-to-end with Lovable AI, it demonstrates a full concept-to-interface workflow: brand system, dual-audience IA, interactive UI, and conversion-focused copy.
