DERSCHUTZE - Global Canvas

An AI-directed fashion campaign spanning 5 continents, 20 locations, and one unifying language: embroidery.

Overview

The Brief

Create a global campaign for Derschutze that positions their intricate, high-stitch-count embroidery as a passport stamp — a visual language that travels across cultures while maintaining the brand's East Hamburg street roots.

Global Scope

20 distinct locations across 5 continents — from Kyoto bamboo forests to Rio's Escadaria Selarón, Malibu dunes to East Hamburg concrete.

Embroidery as Identity

Dragons, cherry blossoms, tigers, koi fish, and flame skulls — each stitch pattern mapped to a specific cultural coordinate.

Dynamic Action

Gravity-defying bicycle kicks and acrobatic volleys captured mid-air, merging athletic energy with high-fashion editorial.

AI-Native Production

Every image generated from a single text prompt. No location scouts. No production crews. No seven-figure budgets.

Concept

The World Is the Campaign

Derschutze didn't build a brand around a single city. It built one around the curiosity of a founder who left East Hamburg and kept moving.

"The embroidery is the passport stamp. The garment is the visa. The world is what gets shared."
Traditional streetwear campaigns rely on a single location, a single mood, a single story. Global Canvas inverts this. Each frame is a different country, a different light, a different cultural texture — but the embroidery remains the constant. The dragon in Kyoto reads as Japanese mythology. The same dragon in East Hamburg reads as street credibility. The tiger in Hamburg is grit. The tiger in Malibu is golden-hour power.
The campaign moves through two visual modes: cinematic action (bicycle kicks suspended against landmarks) and quiet lifestyle (models in their environments, letting the embroidery speak). This rhythm creates a campaign that feels both energetic and intimate — a world you want to step into, not just observe.

Visual Language

Palette & Tone

Colors shift to reflect global locations, from the white architecture of Thailand to the neon streets of Tokyo and the golden sun of Rio.

Process

How It Was Made

From creative brief to final image — the AI-native workflow that replaced a six-month production with a single morning of prompting.

01 - Brand Archaeology
Studied Derschutze's existing embroidery patterns — dragons, cherry blossoms, tigers, koi, flame skulls — and mapped each to a cultural coordinate. The dragon belongs in Kyoto. The tiger belongs in Hamburg. The cherry blossom belongs in Tokyo. This mapping became the campaign's backbone.
02 - Location Scouting (Digital)
Selected 20 iconic global locations that would provide visual contrast while allowing the embroidery to remain the sharpest element. Criteria: distinct light, cultural specificity, and a natural fit for either action (bicycle kicks) or lifestyle (quiet portraiture).
03 - Prompt Engineering
Built a consistent prompt architecture: [shot type] + [location description] + [model details] + [garment with embroidery specifics] + [lighting] + [camera/film specs] + "Photographic realism, looks shot not generated." Each prompt was refined for cultural accuracy and visual impact.
04 - Generation & Curation
Generated images using Soul 2.0, then selected the strongest frames based on: embroidery clarity, location recognizability, model authenticity, and overall campaign coherence. No retouching — the raw AI output was the final image.
05 - Layout & Presentation
Designed the campaign layout system: electric blue background, product cutouts with white stroke, "MADE DIRECTED WITH AI" header, and consistent typographic hierarchy. Each frame pairs the campaign image with its corresponding product flatlay.

Impact

What This Proves

A spec campaign designed to demonstrate what's possible when creative direction meets AI-native production.

The gap between a seven-figure production and your screen just closed. Same visual language. Same cultural precision. One prompt.
