Merged C99 Regression Tests & Download Integrity

A streaming inference engine can silently overwrite an active layer when asynchronous prefetch shares a one-slot ring buffer. I contributed a weightless C99 regression fixture to kimi-k3-in-c that exercises one-slot behavior, two-slot isolation, ring wraparound and failed-read handling. The maintainer merged the contribution as PR #13; this is accepted upstream test engineering, not a claim that I built the inference engine.

Capabilities demonstrated

Synthetic three-layer binary fixtures without downloading model weights
Assertions on active-layer bytes, hit/miss accounting, slot ownership and ring reuse
Truncated-read fault injection requiring an error, no published slot and an unchanged output structure
Test registration in both Make and CMake/CTest

Execution receipts

The October 1, 2026 review rebuilt and ran the exact accepted commit 65841a1d: make -j2 bin/test_trunk followed by ./bin/test_trunk. All 32 printed assertions passed.
A local mutation of the implementation's one-slot reader guard made the unchanged test fail with exit 1. Restoring the original implementation restored exit 0; the tracked tree was unchanged afterward. The test also passed on reviewed current upstream commit a2ad8e5982daef0237e037e16f29401a63cee57d.
The accepted commit's make -j2 test completed with exit 0. Tokenizer parity was explicitly NOT RUN because the vocabulary was absent; no model-weight inference or complete tokenizer validation is claimed. CMake registration was inspected, not executed in this review.

Related accepted contribution

PR #6 contributed immutable-revision pinning and Hub checksum verification for checkpoint downloads. The maintainer's merge record explicitly credits cwwjacobs and explains the maintainer's CLI/bootstrap adjustments. The merged behavior is shared work; no fresh full-checkpoint download is claimed.

Scope and client fit

Public upstream contributions under the repository's Apache-2.0 license; no paid-client relationship or inference performance ownership claimed. Hire me for regression tests, fault-injection fixtures and verification of failure-prone infrastructure paths.
