ThreatDetect Security Dashboard

ThreatDetect is built as a modern web-based security dashboard with a modular, scalable architecture. The frontend is a single-page application built with React + TypeScript, providing a fast, responsive user interface for device management, scan results, and security reporting.

The backend is powered by Node.js (TypeScript) and exposes a clean REST API used by desktop and mobile clients to register devices, submit scan results, and retrieve security data. Data is stored in PostgreSQL using Supabase, which provides a managed database, authentication, and row-level security to ensure each user can only access their own devices and scans.

Security scanning is performed locally on each device (Windows, Android, macOS, iOS tooling), while the web platform acts as the central control and reporting layer. This design avoids browser limitations, preserves user privacy, and allows the system to scale across multiple platforms without relying on expensive third-party scanning APIs.

The architecture is designed to be extensible, allowing new scanners, risk indicators, and platforms to be added over time without changes to the core web application.
