GB Wrought Iron is a leading specialist in premium wrought iron and custom steel fabrication, serving residential and commercial clients across Hull and East Yorkshire. While the company maintained a strong reputation for exceptional craftsmanship and custom design, their existing online presence failed to convey the high-end, bespoke nature of their work.

Challenges

The primary challenge was aligning the company's digital image with the quality and prestige of their physical products. Their previous online presence looked generic, making it difficult to justify their premium pricing or differentiate themselves from budget fabricators. They needed a platform that could:
Visually showcase the fine detail and custom nature of their gates, railings, and security solutions.
Instill immediate trust and authority with clients looking for high-value custom installations.
Streamline the lead generation process for bespoke projects, moving away from generalized inquiries.

Goals

The main objectives were to design and develop a premium, conversion-focused website that established the brand as the top custom fabrication expert in the region. Specific goals included dramatically improving the visual presentation of their portfolio, communicating key metrics of reliability and quality (like 800+ projects), and increasing the volume of qualified inquiries for custom wrought iron work.

Approach

The design approach focused on creating an experience that felt as robust and premium as their products. We opted for a sophisticated, dark-themed layout accented with gold (or yellow) to signify luxury and quality, drawing the eye to key information and calls-to-action.
Aesthetic & Trust: High-resolution photography of completed projects was placed front-and-center, using the dark background to make the rich texture of the ironwork stand out.
Social Proof & Authority: Key performance metrics (800+ projects, 500+ designs) and detailed client testimonials were prominently featured to build immediate authority and social proof.
Conversion Flow: The user journey was simplified, guiding visitors directly to portfolio examples and then to a clear "GET IN TOUCH FOR A FREE QUOTE" section, ensuring an efficient handoff to the sales team. An integrated FAQ section was also included to proactively address common customer concerns.

Results

The completed website successfully repositioned GB Wrought Iron as the premier wrought iron and steel specialist in Hull. The premium aesthetic instantly communicated the brand’s value proposition, helping them attract a higher caliber of client looking for custom, reliable installations. The professional, conversion-optimized design has led to a noticeable increase in qualified leads for bespoke projects, ensuring their online presence now perfectly complements their reputation for excellence in fabrication.
