What is Reality Capture?
Reality capture refers to the process of digitally documenting and replicating the physical world, utilizing technologies like 3D scanning, photogrammetry, and LiDAR.
Hexagon owned Leica Geosystems has a long history on developing reality capture hardware devices and with Reality Cloud Studio Hexagon provides also software to handle this data in a seamless way.
Precise measurements, visualizations, and simulations of reality capture have applications in numerous fields, including architecture, construction, archaeology, and virtual reality. Hexagon’s vision is to combine human collaboration with digital engineering and manufacturing practices in the industrial metaverse.
What is Reality Cloud Studio?
Reality Cloud Studio is a web-based SaaS platform that allows reality capture users to upload scanned data for automated processing, storage, and visualization, creating photorealistic digital twins and enabling secure, quick data sharing.
