USAspending Competitor Award Intelligence

BlaidLink

BlaidLink

Monitor USAspending federal awards, competitor wins, contract modifications, and deobligations with fit scoring, persistent alerts, and source links.

Unofficial tool: This Actor is built by Blaidlink and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by USAspending.gov, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, or the U.S. government. Verify material decisions against the linked official award record.

Turn official federal spending transactions into competitor and recompete intelligence. The Actor searches the credential-free USAspending API, scores activity against your target companies, agencies, NAICS codes, PSC codes, and keywords, then preserves an account-isolated baseline for scheduled change detection.

What makes this different

Raw award search is not the same as an alert. A date-filtered USAspending response can include modifications to old contracts, so this Actor does not label every returned record as a new award. It distinguishes base awards, modifications first encountered during onboarding, later modifications, deobligations, and unchanged repeat scans.
Use it to:
monitor named competitors' federal award activity;
detect obligations and deobligations;
watch target agencies, NAICS codes, and PSC codes;
identify new modifications without rereading the same awards;
feed structured results into schedules, webhooks, APIs, spreadsheets, and AI agents.
The default input runs a broad 30-day scan of contracts and IDVs. For useful intelligence, add one or more targeting fields and raise minFitScore.

new-award: a base transaction is first seen.
first-seen-modification: an existing award modification is first seen; it is explicitly not called a new award.
modified-award: a later positive or zero-dollar modification replaces the stored latest transaction.
deobligation: a later negative transaction replaces the stored latest transaction.
unchanged: no newer material transaction is observed.
State is stored in the running customer's Apify account, so scheduled baselines are isolated between customers.
Data comes from the official U.S. Treasury USAspending API, which currently requires no authorization. USAspending records may be corrected, delayed, aggregated, or incomplete. Treat output as market-research evidence, not as legal, accounting, procurement, or investment advice, and verify consequential decisions against the linked official award page.

Pricing events

matched-award-activity: a qualifying first-seen award or modification emitted to the dataset.
material-award-change: a qualifying later modification or deobligation emitted after a stored baseline.
The Actor respects Apify run spending limits and stops cleanly if no additional event can be charged.

Built an unofficial Apify Actor that scores federal award activity and tracks modifications and deobligations with official source links.
